Small Black Granuals In Stool

voting and voting rights for foreign residents?

A constant current topic: the voting and voting rights for foreigners living in Switzerland. Totally absurd or sensible? New to chance a change or not? These questions will have to be addressed. In the end, must be considered in determining whether ethical or strategic arguments count more.

Some facts about this topic:

- Many foreigners who come to Switzerland come from, because this country is known for its more direct democracy. This target group is very interested in political participation. Just so they could be the ones to promote a direct D
DEMOCRACY, as they in Switzerland see the opportunity to live out these basic rights.

- Some foreigners are political refugees fleeing communism and refuge in Switzerland . Search These people would hardly be used for a Marxist system.

- A large proportion of all foreigners are not the drug dealers on the streets, but tax refugees from Germany. They would like to help shape the Switzerland and may enable the country continues to a free market. A German refugee tax would probably not stupid and would choose SP. Switzerland would benefit from political participation of German Immigrants not only for German imported goods but also of new political forces like the republicans.

- experience shows that most foreigners have a much better ideas from Southern states. Not infrequently, they favor a tougher fight against violent crime, support the freedom of speech and of arming and reject feminist ideology. They bring a lot of liberal ideas among the people, which here would be welcome.

- conspiracy to abuse, in which to try former Stasi officers, such a vote for their purposes, are seen hypotitisch possible, however, their relative dimensions.

The negative argument, the Swiss abroad have no voting rights, so why we should grant the other is certainly not ethically wrong. However, one should consider the whole thing from a strategic point of view: who performs outside of Switzerland, a survey on political issues, will quickly find that the average mind there is better on average than that in this country. Therefore, it would be interesting in what sense it would be an asset to the people to get new voters.
